Our Mission
Alpha Farm is a small farm dedicated to raising beautiful Miniature Shetland Ponies with the quality to compete at top levels and the personality of a family companion.  Our focus is on colorful horses that are triple registered as Miniatures, Shetlands, and Pintos.

We show only 1-2 horses a year  To date, horses owned or sold by Alpha Farm have won:

• 1 AMHR National Championship

• 2 AMHR National Reserve Championships

• 7 Congress Championships (1st)

• 2 Congress Futurity Championships

• 10 Congress Reserve Championships

• 1 Congress Jr Championship

• 1 Congress Reserve Grand Championship

• 4 ASPC World Grand Championships

• 3 ASPC Reserve World Grand Championships

• many Area Grand & Reserve Grand Championships

• Only 7 horses owned or bred by Alpha Farm have attended Congress - each has brought home at least a Reserve Championship. 3 have brought home Championships (1st place)
   

• Our Herd Sire, Buckeye WCF Classical Magic, had 6 Shetland foals on the ground by 2007.  4 have shown at Congress.
     - All have won at least one Res Championship
     - 3 have brought home at least 1, and sometimes multiple, Congress Championships
     - 2 were Furturity Champions
     - 1 was Jr Champions & Res Grand Champion

Did you know...
... that Shetland Ponies are generally kind and very intelligent?  A pony that is handled from birth and properly trained can be a very loyal family friend.  They are naturally curious and social animals that respond quickly to kind handling.

... that more adults than children own and/or show Shetland Ponies at breed shows in the United States? And that most of those adults are over 40 or retired?  They are a great choice for adults who don't want to ride or are intimidated by larger horses or who can't afford the cost of feeding and caring for a full size horse.

... that ASPC and AMHR offer classes for adults and children with special physical and mental needs?  Classes are offered in halter, showmanship, riding, and driving.
