Thank You's
We would be remiss if we didn't thank the people who helped us
get started. Special thanks goes to Getitia & Les Matheny of
Buckeye Walnut Creek Farm who helped us get a good start with
some great ponies. And many thanks to Marvin McCabe of
Double M Farm and his wonderful family who have shown 4 of our
ponies to World and National Championships & Reserve
Championships.
For more Information
If you would like more information on Shetland
Ponies or Miniature Horses, please feel free to
contact us. We'd love to help you get started with these wonderful horses and
ponies!
Did you know...
...
that Shetland Ponies are generally kind and very intelligent?
A pony that is handled from birth and properly trained can be a very
loyal family friend. They are naturally curious and social
animals that respond quickly to kind handling.
...
that more adults than children own and/or show Shetland Ponies at breed
shows in the United States? And that most of those adults are over
40 or retired? They are a great choice for adults who don't
want to ride or are intimidated by larger horses or who can't afford
the cost of feeding and caring for a full size horse.
...
that ASPC and AMHR offer classes for adults and children with
special physical and mental needs? Classes are offered in
halter, showmanship, riding, and driving.

FUTURE HERD SIRE

Alpha Farm is proud to add Buckeye WCF
Classical American to our herd as a future sire. I
have high hopes for "Classy" in both the shetland and
miniature competitions, especially in driving.
