August 13, 2006 (4 months)
Most of these are not great photos, but each
shows you something about him...
For example...
Unfortunately, two of his best traits - his people-loving personality - and his
trot - aren't represented in these photos

Spots
You can see that he is just starting to get spots on his
rump. You'll see a few others if you enlarge the photos above

Bite
(sorry - it's really hard to hold his mouth open w/one hand and
take the photo with the other! :-)

Good bye!

MORE INFO
- Measured 29.25" at withers on 8/13/2006
- When stood next to my 35.5" 2 yr old gelding, their knees
were at the same level, so I would expect him to mature
around the same height as the gelding
- Parents' height: Dam - 37";
Sire - just under 32"
- Testicles have both dropped
- Dam was fully vaccinated about 4 weeks before "Marathon"
was born
- Show home incentive does apply, but no other guarantees
at this price.

More info on each...
Sire's Side
-
Alpha Farms Champagne Spirit not shown.
Small buckskin about 32". Sold to be a riding
pony for an infant. "Marathon" is the only foal by him.
-
Flight of Fancy Champagne Taste is out
of a National Champion producer and is a National
Champion producer himself. He was never shown much
because of an accident I believe at the beginning of his
show career. He is a Rhoten's Little Dandy
grandson.
-
Grosshill EKS Silver Lining is an
Egyptian King and Bond A Toy 4UC
granddaughter. Her dam is still owned by Alliance
Miniatures - a leading producer of champion AMHA horses.
Her sire was listed for years as one of the 10 top
earners of AMHA futurity winnings.
Dam's Side
-
Alpha Farms Shawnee BayBee Dove not
shown. Black "overaloosa" (yes, that's a made-up
word!) Not tested for LWO, but shows signs that she is
either frame or splash overo (or possibly both). Yes..
bad clip job!!! :-)
-
Buckeye WCF Shawnee
Night was National
Champion in color, Reserve National Champion in halter,
and has his ROM and Hall of Fame. He is also
Rhoten's Little Dandy grandson. He has produced
some outstanding babies who have won grand championships
over Sr stallions even as weanlings.
-
Buckeye WCF BayBee Eagle is mostly
appaloosa lines. Her sire,
C-Chief Proud Eagle, did very well in driving
events, produced several Hall of Fame and National
winners, and the last time I heard, had never produced
a foal that didn't have appaloosa coloring (so strong appy genes)
